i wonder how much of your sugar craving was related to the incredible adrenaline dump your system went through. i think that extremely stressful situations drain the body of its "batteries", and your craving was probably your body trying to correct itself - the sugar and caffeine and the chocolate.

i wouldn't be too hard on yourself. you witnessed an intense event, then had to go to work, where you called the police and relived it, and then had to just sit there right? everyone of course reacts differently, but i think you were totally ok. as the others have said, if this happens everytime something stressful happens, then that's a problem. an oreo pack occasionally ain't gonna kill ya.

how awful for you though - did you talk to anyone at work? or did you have to stew on it til you could get home to your honey?

*sending powerful "diva" vibes east"
