That's a really interesting thought. Usually, when the stress is associated with things that make me unhappy - a break-up, a loss of some kind - it makes me go completely off my feed. I'm just so miserable that eating makes me feel worse. But this is a much more immediate short burst high-stress kind of situation, and I think your theory may have some serious validity to it.

I talked about it a little at work, but I was really shaken up and very close to tears, and I had a mjor presentation on my desk with a lot of nasty conversions from one program to another (it's just amazing the way the bankers think we push a button and word morphs into powerpoint!), so I had to try to focus. He was in rehearsal till almost 7, but I did reach him by phone, and we were able to talk for a while before I got dinner. (I thank God every day for this man's presence in my life!) It helped. It also helps when someone who knows and loves you reminds you to breathe! :)
