Subject: PTA Helping Field Day

I was instructed by Mrs. Redding to have the PTA serve popsicles @ 2:30. The popsicles are purchased from the PTA, as it is every year along with the water, ice and sunscreen. The water station will be available during the entire length of Field Day, just like last year.

We will purchase 30-35 gallons of drinking water from our favorite grocery store, Von's. We will also put 2 bags of crushed ice, also purchased from Von's into the 4-5 very clean coolers. I prefer it that way because you see... my daughter drinks from the same coolers that all the other kids do.

Bottled water will be provided for the parent volunteers & teachers, staff... because it is easier for them to carry bottled water around the playground area... and it is a small token of thanks who are volunteering on this day.

PTA will also provide sunscreen and a will work with the school nurse. We are provided with walkie-talkies to assist and help out the school teachers, especially Mrs. Redding and Mrs. Hollis who do an outstanding job every year for this event.

Thank you to everyone who is volunteering and who have returned phone calls when we called for your help from the lists. You guys & gals are great!

This field day is scheduled for half a day instead of the full day like last year... never the less, parents please put sunscreen on your children and come watch the excitement!

The very best to all of you,
Your PTA President :)
