Subject: Safe to do Snorkelling for non-swimmer?

I have one friend who is a non-swimmer. I wonder non-swimmers can do Snorkelling in Redang? Is it safe? She is curious to see the wonderful marine life...

Make sure she has a life-jacket on and is accompanied at all times and she should be able to enjoy the marine life. Some resorts have tyre tubes for snorkellers to use - she might feel more confident having something to hold on to with her hands; whoever accompanies her can then tug her around using the tube (but make sure the tube is used together with the life-jacket). During snorkeling trips, the snorkeling guides are also available to help out those who are less confident in the water.
