The sea water in the mask will cause discomfort. Unless one has a sight correction procedure or a prescription mask... I am afriad one has to put up with it.

Same here, wife snorkelled with contact lens, not the best experience when sea water gets into the mask. When I asked her about using power mask, she prefers to use contact lens, it must not be that bad after all - doable.
