i think u got to B-careful. My wife wore contacts while snorkelling. But it will be terrible if the sea-water gets in. Anyway it is worth the try rather than not seeing anything.

The sea water in the mask will cause discomfort. Unless one has a sight correction procedure or a prescription mask... I am afriad one has to put up with it.
