(He was sitting in a solitary cell in a bright orange one piece that was not flattering to his complexion. Fierce eyes were pointed at the floor as he contemplated his options.. he had called his uncle Kade, knowing that there was no way his father would be bothered enough to come down and get him. Even if his family came down.. there was no hope of getting out of the jail.. once the one piece came out they had you. Besides, the county didn't typically look kindly upon a man like him, who had been pulled over for doing 140 on the freeway, had illegal substances in his bloodstream, an open beer in the cup holder and an unregistered .44 in the glove compartment. The dog's had been called out to search the rest of him, and he had gotten into a fist fight with a cop.. no, there was no leaving tonight. With a deep and angry sigh, he leaned his head back against the stone wall and prayed that God would just take him now by some miraculous method and spare him the humility and anguish of seeing his uncle face to face.. Kade would tear his arms off. Sighing again, his thoughts shifted to Kelci.. he had been so selfish to leave the check for her, as if his not being there would save her any anguish.. now she would be alone.. but what could he do? He didn't want to all of a sudden change his stance on the situation, she would think it was just because he wanted a more permanent access plan to getting in her pants.. and that wasn't it.. for once, that wasn't the main thing on his mind.)
