This is just my humble, personal opinion. I am putting together a '72 Z28 with a fuel injected 406. I did a ton of research and spoke with several gurus in the field of high performance ignition (Doug Flynn @Holley doesn't use one on his race car). They all said that the GM HEI is fine and that I would be wasting money to go with a box (MSD). This is especially true where RPM's are below 6000 (400 SBC's don't like a ton of RPM's). If/when I go with N20 or a blower...that is a different story, in terms of ignition.
