ya i replaced my radiator cap with a stainless steel cap a long time ago. i didnt like that plastic thing they put on there. and my truck over heated the other day, it was 98 degrees out. humidity was high! i was sittin still in the shade with the a/c on and it over heated. no boil over. so i turned off the a/c and reved the engine up to 1100 rpm's and it cooled right down. the fan simply doesnt move enough air through there at 600 rpm's.
