I've heard of the cap problems, though mine is fine.
I went ahead and had my local shop order a USA built, 1 3/8" core, 2001 S-10 replacement radiator.
I'll let you know how it works out too.
Different manufacturers use varying thickness cores in there replacement radiators, shop around for the thickest core (imported radiators have been thinner).
I haven't had any "bad" heating problems, just got a little warm when it was 115 degrees out and the AC on.
I run the desert regularly, so I'm just looking for a larger "comfort zone", when it comes to the cooling system.
