The LeGriffe is quite a unit ! For many years I have been a big fan of Maestro Perrins creations and works. Being a personal friend makes recommending big Fred's work even easier ! Like any tool-weapon that has specific usage, it helps to have an idea of how a claw-talon-beak type tool is used..... Then a healthy does of instinct, a dash of common sense and voila ! A "Griffe" system all yer own... I know you'll be proud running either the PERRIN name or the EMERSON.. both dudes & their well designed products (and classes-seminars) are tops in their fields.....

If you have a chance to ever train w/ Fred P, by all means TAKE IT ! An amazing man...

PS: It was a Fred Perrin custom knife (a small fixed blade) that I presented to one of the memebers of our research team. He carries it in the field. (I am toying w/ the idea of sharing some of my outdoors adventures and discoveries with you guys. And then sort of mixing in a casual knife or product review as we use it in the field.
It is an ideal venue for such an effort. This fall promises to be a busy one, we've ran into a piece of good luck and it sees that our team will be taking part in the historic Lewis & Clark Bicentennial celebrations. Part of the re-discovery of what those explorers saw-experienced and such, but from a tribal perspective....
Most promising.............
Thanx all,
JAK
