I agree that the majority of people are very "n00bish" (or "newbish", depeding on your 1337) for this SF stuff.

But it does illustrate a point: even though the masses know JACK about the characters, they still recognize them and want the figures. They just want the most "popular" characters (for lack of a better term, maybe "visible" would be more appropriate), but they are still supporting the line, so that real fans get their Sodoms, Oros, and Skullomanias (I can dream :p). Whatever works.

The thing that truly bugs me is that SOTA bothers to listen to the (presumably) unwashed masses. Not to say that their points are not valid in a few cases (ex the outcry to change Ryu by everybody but that gnome guy ;D). But I really hope SOTA will draw the line and say "No" to these people at some point. Maybe it is just me, but they are the professionals and I am just some guy. I am not going to tell them what they should do unless it is pretty clear what should be done, and why it needs doing. But that is just me, and it is well documented I have esteem issues ;)

I think that if the market responds like it should, this could be a very strong line that could go for a great run. We should start running a pool with bracket cards or something for each set. Winner gets, uh, a mecha-Zangief custom from me :)

PS - I already pre-ordered myself a full set from GameStop! And I sent them an email! Fight the powa!
