LOL about Lord of the Flies and the rest. I had the privelege of reading F. Scott Fitzgerald's books for AP English. I was so depressed after reading the Great Gatsby
that I just didn't want to go to school anymore.

I also attended the same high school that John Steinbeck did in Salinas (it was built in 1890something)so natch we
had to study his 'great works' too.

All about people at the lowest denominator and the despair caused by choosing the lowest denominator.
