I dont normally agree with martial law but something has to be done to protect people.
People cant even evacuate hospitals without coming under gunfire!
There are armed gangs that are roaming rape gangs.
so in my mind this is one of those RARE times when a temporary martial law is needed.

Aid from the federal government?
All I know is this. If it was my family and me there...with all my food storage wiped out by the flooding. If it was my family facing death by starvation, lack of water or diseasedue to the 1000's of bodies roting in the still flooded streets...I know I would want federal aid or any aid for that matter.

We have to remember that everything these people have is gone...even if they had had 10 yrs of food storage on hand...its GONE now and it happened in the blink of an eye.

I think this is one of those rare situations where the federal government should step in...for a while...not for ever!

I dont beleave I would refuse the help of anyone including the federal government in this situation...having never been there my self...I couldnt say for sure.

I would do what I have to do to keep my children alive.
I lost one son. I dont intend to lose another.

I dont think excepting help form the feds in this kind of extream situation is going to hurt anyone.
