How refreshing! I am grateful (but not proud) to be an American. I know there are promises involved in being here, but the responsibility for being here ought to be so much greater. A responsibility to seek the truth about all these political intrigues. I think we all can check our pride "at the door"; patriotism can go too far.
What a wonderful thing to realize that European LDS are studying these things along with the handful of us here in America who are.
My hat is off to you!
I have often wondered if it is difficult for you; we can be arrogant, we Americans, and even many of us LDS.
I think President Hinckley must walk a very fine line, and I think he does it well.
He continues to say what he must say as an American (so he isn't watched TOO closely by powers that be?) while reminding us that we are a world-wide church and must pray for all our brothers and sisters of every faith and nation.
What a prophet!
But to know that people in the lands of the north (Scandinavia!) are studying these things gives me great hope. To know that we can understand these things together and take off the blinders about our individual nations and their conspiracies.

I want to hear more of your perspective. Tell us about the assisination of the Swedish prime minister?
