Subject: they are all different
In reply to: Bee 's message, "I have a question here for both of you about" on 16:54:11 05/04/05 Wed

Mine were NOT happy drunks.

They were mostly drunk on the weekends and at night but all hrs of the day and night were up for grabs!
My grandmothers brothers could be(when they were alive) drunk all day for days at a time.
There was a very very high rate of it in my family...
However its been over 18 yrs since I have been back in MI where they all live and I have not had a drunk in my life to any great degree since then so my memory has faded.
This lack of contact was mostly my choice.
I refused to have my children exposed to this life!
I'm exceptionaly bull headed about that and very very adamint about no one, NO ONE!...brings the crap into my home.
My husband is also pretty clear on this as one of his parents were this way(his dad,...but he has reformed in his old age)..both of my grandparents(they raised me), and a good amount of the other adults in my life were drunks(my dad). But they all died before reforming.

I have been told I am unreasonable for not allowing it in my home...but TUFF TOOKIES as far as I am concerned.
It is my home and my children. If they could deside to put me and my cousins though this type of life then I can decide it will be a cold day in ....well you know where, before I let my kids be raised in this type of life.

anyway I am sleepy and this whole subject raises my passive nature into something I dont like.

So I well go to bed now.

Blessings
Jean
