Elpis entered only a few moments after Davni, coming in through the yawning opening that was the door to the establishment silently, and taking up a seat in one of the darker corners of the room. As he sat, his keen ears easily catching the musical sounds that filtered through the room. He didn't consciously hear the soft and soothing sounds, but they did calm his mind a little bit. 'I failed.' He thought, his face not betraying the cyclone of conflicting emotions running through him. 'I failed to bond, does that mean I'm not meant to heal the land?' He could still feel the invisible weight on his shoulders, the one that had fallen onto them back in the clearing, and it made him slump a little in his seat. 'Maybe this was a mistake, to leave home in the middle of the night, to not tell mother and father I was leaving, to only bring this necklace she gave to me.' He looked down at the small piece of jewlery, still clenched in his hand.
"Maybe I'm not good enough to reach my dreams." He whispered, before he let the necklace drop out of his hand and onto the table. Then he leaned back a bit, shrugging off the weight, or at least attempting to, as he actually heard the soft music, floating through the room. He forgot about his doubts then, and just listened, hoping that he might be able to fix things, later.
