Hi, I own a 6 y/o cocker spaniel, who came down with a diagnosed stapph infection all over trunk of his body [9/05]. He has been treated with 2types of antibiotics andhe has been getting weekly medicated baths. The trouble is he is not responding well. It is not clearing up to date. He has no fleas and is primarily a house dog - only going out to relieve himself. He is eating Hill's Science diet for sensitive Skin. He also tends to get frequent ear infections which are treated with antibiotic into the ear canal. He is epileptic w/treatment and tested negative for hypothyroidism. He was also checked for mites [negative]. He tends to be itchy @ times. My vet thinks he may need shots [weekly to start].
The bills for him and meds are really starting to mount up.....I don't know what to do anymore, Sylvia
