I think for a laptop it's definitely worth getting. It'll be carried around, bumped around, possibly dropped. Something could get knocked out of place and you might not know about it right away. What if something breaks? Laptop stuff is pretty proprietary, no?

I knew I wouldn't be able to just go buy a part and fix the laptop myself so warranty was rather important to me. I pad for a 2 year extention a few months after I bought my laptop.
