Like Jeffrey, I find that apparently the meter on the battery itself does concur with Windows.

Again similar to Jeffrey's experience, my batteries levels gradually declined.

Unlike Jeffrey, I found no fix.

I am on my second battery. Both the first and the second battery eventually drained down to zero and stayed there.

It does not seem to matter whether the computer is running or not. The battery does not charge at all.

I have tried three different wall outlets, no difference.

I don't remember whether there is a yellow band on my AC adapter; will check when I get home.

Also I will check for looseness of the plug.

I don't think suspend-to-disk ever helped the situation, but sure I'll try it.
