I got a replacement computer for a screen problem right before Transmonde went belly up. The replacement on the 1st day wouldn't charge past 86%. I turned it off and let it sit over night. 24 hours later it was 36% and falling. I checked the meter on the battery itself and it seemed to concur with Windows. I did notice that the computer would charge ever so slowly when I was using it, which seemed rather peculiar. I moved it to another plug, suspended to RAM and left it for a couple hours and bingo, 100%. What's up with that I wonder? I did notice that the new replacement machine had a new AC adapter: the end of the plug has a yellow band. This new adapter does not seen to fit on its male counterpart quite as snuggly as the old AC adapter I had. Does your AC have this yellow band at the end of the adapter?

In summary:

1. yes I have a similar problem

2. I moved to a new plug but no other appliance have problems at this plug

3. charges slowly when on and rather quickly in suspend to RAM

4. battery concurs with windows

5. AC adapter seems loose when conected to computer

6. problem has not returned
