I would like to make an announcement. The liberty party started with the goal of liberty for all members of Fort Nightshade, and the oppression of those who try to take it away from us. Keeping within these lines, the new goal of the Party is to establish a constitution of Fort Nightshade that provides equal liberty to all, and makes it possible for anybeast to attain any position short of Queen. I may not be a beast most peopple wouldn't want to come across with,and I may not be as smart as Slivern. But I had some thoguhts and still do. You see, I want ideas for FNS, I want ideas from beast like YOU. I want to know, what you want done, what rules should be enforce. I know that we all want to do our part here, and everyone would like it here. I'm sure that some of you may agree that your ideas are not heard from the past other beats in line, but I can assure you that I listin to EVERYONE voice! It may sound stupid to others, but if we can work it out it won't be stupid at all. Like some say, smart small, then big. If we put one's voice and anouther's voice toughter we could have a great idea. I know this isn't much, but I can try, and I can promsie you, that I can be the beast senator Cyclone has ever had. I know that my fellow crew meamber is running yet agian, but sometimes we need changes here and I'm willing to do that.

As I am sure most of you know, I am Vice Admiral Drabane Darksun, Senator of the Cyclone. I am running for re-election. I know that I have not accomplished much in the 3 terms I have been a senator. However, it has not been for lack of trying. I have tried to get a Constitution of Fort Nightshade established. However, I have not succeeded as of yet. If I am reelected, I will redouble my efforts. Someone suggested that I make a private message board for the senators and secretaries. This would mean that I make a new board that requires a password to enter. I would change the password with each new term and e-mail it to the new senators/secretaries. This would, of course, exclude people who are not members of the senate. 1) Not give up with difficult jobs
2) Listen to the veiws of all
3) Not flaunt my power and use it to force others to bend to my will

5) Do my best in diplomacy and other jobs which I may be given
6) Listen to all ideas which I get
7) Not be corrupt and stupid

i know that i am of no high rank, but those of you who have read my comments to bloodwrath's speech probably agree.OOC: i enjoy politics very much. IC: if you elect me as secretary of war, i will:
1. post a night watch to further ensure your safety.
2. i will try as hard as i can to prevent war. do not make this seem cowardly. it is an act of safety. i say again, war is not for self glorification. if you are a violent type, then you can stil;l have brawls in the tavern.

You may have heard about me a bit on the previous month's battle and message boards, though whether your opinion formed of me by them does not matter any more to me.What's past is past. I sincerely apologize for any problems I've caused. I'm here to talk about running for senator of the Sea Hawk. I, Najari Zonen Cumplen, ask for you to vote for me as Sec. of War. If I am elected I promise to support a constitution and our queen's reign. I promise not to be ever corupt and I promise to listen to every beast's opinions to help me make the right ones. I'll be an active membero f this fort and I promise to do what is best for the Fort. We can be a great fort if we have great leaders. I can be one of them if I am elected. I will also support to actually have a session of senate rather then just having anyone making speeches for, no offense meant, this place is quite dead as far as politics go. We have won a war with an evil tyrant, now we must build ourselves through diplomacy and only go to war if necessarry. I promise, that if I'm elected, i'll be honest and law abiding. I also promise to fight with my troops if we go into battle. We must join together so we can be great as a united body of creatures. Please vote for me.

Vote for me for secretary of war. I am young but have experinced many battles and know what its like in the middle of one. I wont go off attacking other forts who could be are allies unless we have a good reason to. If we are in a war or battle I will not back down until I know we will lose. I will make sure I treat my comrades well to!

- I have several objections to your statements. First off, it is the Sec. of Peace's job to make allies. Next, it is the Sec. of Defence's job to prepare for attacks. No matter how many strategies you have, you have to put them into action in order for them to be of use. A Secretary of War is not supposed to get new members. If you can, that's great, but don't make it part of your job. Leading an army from the back is not cowardice. The Secretary of Peace has a frown upon her dark muzzle, one charcoal grey paw rests upon the red tribal star marked on her forehead. Sighing lightly, she murmurs to herself.** I sense the tension for this new election... **Darkfire rises, placing one footpaw upon a chair. She speaks aloud to anybeast that might lend an ear.** My friends, surely you can tell that this air has become so thick it could be cut with a blade! I ask you why? Simple, this upcoming election. Campaigns are heated, and many have grown irritable. As current Secretary of Peace I can merely point out this aggravated state of things and hope that those who might grow aggressive towards an opponent in this Senatorial race can keep cool heads and calm tongues. Getting angry and bashing your adversary or those who give you constructive criticism achieves naught but making a fool of yourself and getting others angry. I don't think this Senate needs its political battles to go beyond verbal debates! **She chuckles lightly at this, and sits back down on the table, hoping at least some of these young and ambitious candidates take heed.**

A member e-mailed about voting and reminded me that terms were supposed to end on the 1st and voting was supposed to begin! Are you all ready to vote again? Or do you need more time for speeches and such?
