Looks like the fridge is more fixed than da V. Her nerves are really fucked up as witnessed when I took her shopping. Got a little weepy and shaky and had to hang onto the cart to keep steady. It seems the old fart has CANCER, and is sometimes kind of all right, but sometimes, he is in a bad way too. So much so that Shitbird has told dk that they might have to postpone their US trip. *hmmmmmm*, I've been hyper and excited all morning. Actually Shitbird had told the news to dk after he came back from his Easter vacation and she had at some time mentioned it to me, but I thought he had been bullshitting her. So noooooo bullshit, it is true. Of course I have a good idea who's paying for the expensive drugs and the treatment: My daughter, because the money Shitbird shoves up the wogs' asses will not be available for her education and for setting her up later in life. *pah*

Porker summits *are* on Mondays, but there's an opportunity on Tuesdays too, mainly because this area is so densely populated that it is kind of profitable for them to have a lot of presence here. So I'm lucky and don't have to miss out on my weekly fun (no pirates, remember, but the trainer is a comedienne in her own right :-).
I hope you found a solution for the food. What I learned is that you can re-freeze thawed food if it wasn't thawed for very long. So it all depends on how long your freezer was kaputt before you detected it. I hope you'll come to the right decision and my sweet Arby baba won't get any indigestion from this incident.

Just now I was resting, she settled down next to me and started reading a book. While reading, her eyes closed, and I encouraged her to sleep a bit. Well, she slept for exactly 15 minutes, and then her stupid fat bud called with some nonsensical problem. *sigh*. I couldn't sleep and all kinds of things went through my head. For instance how things will be when you start working, worrying about what dk is doing downtown at this late hour (always at this hour I think it is totally irresponsible to let kids loose in a skanky town such as this), and also thinking of how I still need to apply my commandments you gave me day by day, and especially now when I sometimes feel disoriented again because too many people with schedules of their own mix up things here.
Feeling very good when I remembered how you tailored these commandments just for me, and how proud I have always been to apply them and see the awesome success they brought. So proud to have you witness the success too (for which all the credit goes to you). Then I'm thinking that maybe like with an alcoholic who will never be really cured, but will be fine as long as he stays away from booze, I will probably always have to apply the commandments, because otherwise I'll be the disoriented confused self again that I used to be. It's so important for me to have you in my life, and I need you, adore you and worship you so much.

This has been one of the most perfectly wasted days of my entire existence. Not that there's been few of them. But I am so pissed off by now that I have already opened a can of beer - something which doesn't happen often around here, but a few days or a week and a half ago I already had another one.
I couldn't even go to sleep. Just as I was settling in, I heard fucking Shitbird start haggling with my daughter yet again. Asking her when she had to leave (he must drive her because buses are bad), and when she told him he said he couldn't take her because *listen to this* he HAD to go and 'play'. His fucking badminton, remember. Well, I was so pissed off I went outside to be witness to the haggling and to interfere if need be. Then of course Shitbird relented, but I was furious and awake. Then she suggested we both lie down a bit, and I said okay. But I couldn't start sleeping, because one of us was plagued by the porker syndrome (too much drinking, remember ?). Okay, then I got up again, made sandwiches for her finally opened my beer and here I am. Fucking day. But if is no fault of hers. ... Oh, and when I pointed out that a drawer of one of the closets is broken, Shitbird had immediately to say to her 'That was you'. I said yeah, and you (Shitbird) never break a thing, right ?'
*Puke*... news on the telly: The German faegs are celebrating their 'Christopher Street Day' in Berlin. The newscaster explains that this day is suppose to commemorate violence at New York gay clubs. Huh ????? New York ???? Therefore the faegs have to congregate in Berlin ???? The mind boggles.... *sigh*

There were long queues in front of the lottery shops, because today they have a jackpot of 36 million. I didn't want to get into the long queue, so I tried the small shop close by to where I live, but that fat pig-bellied pollack (or whatever, anyway, he beats his dog and has a slant-eyed wife like many of his kind) had already closed his shop. So there goes another jackpot without me. But my numbers usually don't come up, and I didn't want to drive to another place, cause it was hot and I was a bit tired. :-( So now please keep your fingers crossed that my usual numbers DON'T come up. :-)

So glad to be back with you and finding your awesome message here. - I did wake up in the night when it was still dark outside (but couldn't switch on the light, so I don't know what time it was). Later I fell asleep again and slept through until half an hour ago. I hope that you are also still asleep and have not been waiting for my call for hours, cause I'd hate to keep you waiting. Of course those two are procrastinating again, and there is no telling when they will really leave. I'm planning to go shopping after we talked, but have to be back again by eleven, because she leaves at half past. Yet again, trying to accomodate other people's schedules doesn't seem very workable.
Thank you for your sane take on the fucking European Union and the Euro. This scam of gradually increasing all taxes and rates and at the same time gradually eroding incomes and pensions seems to have worked pretty well in the past. And I think they get away with it, because the real yuppies in the big jobs and peeps who have their own business get enough benefits and extra payments so that they don't feel the squeeze, and idiots like me and a few other peeps don't have a say at all. I remember how my father bragged that he has 5000.- DM pension (I mean pension !!!, without doing a day's work). Yeah, and then they decided that since I am a civil servant, and aren't all civil servants are so privileged ?, and also had a husband with a 'good' job (another yeah right, because what good did this ever do for me ?)they could fuck me over and shove everything up the bastards' asses without feeling a pang of guilt. Well, this is the place where everyone gets shafted, and I hope that before they croak my parents will realize how the two bastards will start fighting over what is left.

I'd venture a guess about the Arby's roast beef or chicken sandwich, and put it at about 5 or 6 points. That's what most small meals have, and a Kraut small meal would be a sandwich with lettuces, and lean meat. So you are really safe with this.
And porkers over here are also allowed to pig out one day, only then they either have to eat a bit less for the next few days (or when you know you'll pig out, you can save points in advance) *grin*. The main thing the trainer sez that after you've pigged out you are not supposed to think: "Now I've gone off my diet, let's pig out some more", but the next day you've got to get a grip on yourself and re-commence eating according to plan. - Tonight I had a noodle salad with shrimp, smoked salmon cut into strips, cucumber cut into strips, dill, and a dressing made from sour cream (much leaner than mayonnaise), mustard, a bit of vinegar and the usual spices. She and I liked it a lot. SB of course didn't get any, I have my limits *evil grin*.

I just saw your second message. Thinking of you in beautiful Florida, snuggling during thunderstorms or in any kind of weather, and I wish I was there. - While sitting out here with SB watching his telly I notice that now the pigs have started big advertising campaigns for their fucking Euro. Of course it's all lies, but they realized that people hate their fucking Euro so much that they decided to throw away some more tax money for their Euro ads. Pah.... So glad that you and I know better, and at least we can see through those lies.

BWAHAAAAA I was wondering about a pizza doused in Tequila. We have lots of variety and toppings here but sadly no gorgonzola :-( Pizzas come in three different sizes but if you just buy one slice it's the largest. There are eight slices to the pie and I've only eaten about five at the most at one time. Wonder how many points an Arby's roast beef or chicken sandwich is? Anyways I don't always eat the full points cause some if it manages to end up on my clothes. *grin*

I think you are very right about the peculiar control angle that the women of our mothers' generation have. Never give shit to the husband, but satisfy all your controlling needs with your kids. Dunno about yours, but mine had a very annoying GENERALIZED worshipping for males. Like, when the bike was broken, I remember she wanted to ask the neighbor's son, and it was always 'da muss man die Mnner fragen'... (when I think back to this I get a feeling like you have when you hear chalk screeching on a blackboard). 'Die Mnner' - the most important thing in her life. Once she said something about the time I had left home (don't remember what it was), and she said she was so BUSY, she still had THREE MEN (with great emphasis on men) at home. To me none of these pricks qualifies as a man really, they are nothing but fucking spoiled brats, conceited, full-of-themselves assholes who only got this far in their pathetic lives because they always had the willing doormat handy who put her hands under their ugly feet. - I am so very satisfied and happy that I never fit in to THAT dirty mould, and that for me always my kid came first. - Hey, but I think dk knows that I sometimes go overboard... Something funny happened this morning. I was sitting next to her on her couch, and she was getting ready for school. She was looking at the telly, facing away from me and sat down. Sat down on my hand which was lying there, but she hadn't seen it. When she apologized I said it didn't matter, and she continued (for me)...'yeah and if you (=her) had broken it, I wouldn't mind, because it would have been you who has done it'. *sigh* - she's figured me out quite well. But then I still think a loving parent is better than a parent who doesn't give a shit.
I think the ignoring attitude is a good one if you don't want to constantly fight your V. Besides she should be used to it from the other males in the family like her brother/your uncle. And it helps you to stay in control and fluffy, because you just don't LET her accuse you or give you shit when you stay remote and non-communicative.
