In other words, Christianity is the default state religion of the U.S., and if anyone wants to practice marriage rituals outside of its myopia, they need to prove themselves.

I'd like to think there's a good first amendment challenge to this nonsense; the proposed amendment is blatantly Christian. But if the amendment became part of the Constitution, it would be Constitutional ipso facto; so a first amendment challenge may not work. (This brings up the question of whether the Constitution can be contradictory; I'm not aware of this being addressed in Constitutional law so far.)
