Subject: I am amazed by the ‘sturm and drang’ this episode has caused. I thought it was lighthearted fun with a dash of pouty Harm thrown in for good measure. I may be the only one but I thought it was funny

When Harm got miffed about not being picked first for the judge.

When he said, “You’ve got to be kidding……Your Honor.”

When he sustained himself.

When he said reconstituted like soup.

When he said he didn’t realize it was such a tough room.

The look on Harriet’s face when Harm was being snotty to Mac.

The look on Sturgis’s face afterwards-- (I can just hear him saying, “Would you two listen to yourselves?”)

When Harm told the Admiral that he had deciphered the Colonel.

When he gave her coffee and said she wouldn’t taste the poison.

When Mac said she was the hanging judge.

When Harm said she knew the law and he hated her for it.

When Harm said after the trial was over that he leaves courtroom stuff in the courtroom.

The whole Admiral and Meredith dinner scene. (He learned to play tennis with his left hand. I still feel bad about the scholarship.) LOLOL

I enjoyed this episode because I took it for what it was supposed to be—a humorous look at our two main characters if they were taken out of their everyday working relationship and put in a situation that would cause tension between them.

It was a devise and I frankly don’t care if it is realistic or plausible. I know the show has military and legal advisors so when they decide to go outside of the norm I just assume it is for the sake of dramatic license and don’t worry about it.

How boring would it have been if Harm had been respectful and complimentary of Mac the whole trial? Boy, that would have been exciting. I liked seeing him feel put upon by her rulings. I also liked seeing him eventually realize that her rulings weren’t personal and tell her so in a very self-deprecating manner.

I don’t know—sometimes it feels like the only people trashing the characters are the posters on the boards.
