They currently have the #1 album in the UK and we're just starting to work them here in the States. The band is called Keane, they're a trio (vocalist, keyboards/bass and drums). This is easily one of the most gorgeous sounding albums I've ever heard! The singer has a voice like an angel. It's one thing to hear it on the record (production can work miracles), but to see someone live and have them sound that amazing - WOW. They're currently touring small venues in the U.S. so if you get a chance to see them while they're still in the "developing" stage here...GO!! There's a video for the first single ("Somewhere Only We Know") if you can stand the fact that it stops to buffer every 5 seconds...I find it highly irritating. To get a better taste, click on audio and jump ahead to the 2nd track, which is "This Is The Last Time" (click "next" on the audio player to get to Track 2). If you have the time and the patience to sit through the video, note that this is the special UK-only version --the band just shot a new version of the video for the States (apparently those little alien creatures were just a bit too bizarre for U.S. audiences!) Was hoping to see them a while back but tickets sold out so quickly .... I am however going to get to see them at one of the big summer music festivals. Highly ecommended!
