I don't shine if you don't shine


He had had to go into work for the morning, but was supposed to be meeting her here now so they could do a little baby-shopping. She was just done with shows and all that now so she could have some time off, and he was still working part-time - just taking care of the necessary things - so they really hadn't had time until now to try to get things in order. Sometime it seemed all very natural to her, but he was feeling a little overwhelmed - like they had nothing prepared and this baby was going to be here sooner rather than later, but nothing was at all ready. The worst part was that he didn't even really know what there was that he had to get ready. It was all very confusing to him, but he did have some confidence that they would sort things out. Sipping at a latté, he waited patiently for her in the coffee shop that was their designated meeting place. One hand loosened the top button of his shirt and then pushed through his shaggy dark hair - the jeans and shirt with blazer casual work-wear look perfected on him...
