Depending on what you mean by 'interesting period'. I don't see this 'interesting period' to be particularly 'interesting'.

In fact I am a little worried what kind of a world it will become when our little boys grow up. I agree with you that situation in HK will get worse over time, but for a different reason. I don't think whether HK is being abandoned by the mainland or not matters to us. What matters to us is the open-door policy in China. When the gap between HK and China becomes narrower and narrower, eventualy people will realise that there really is no point doing business with China through HK.

Do you know what was the single biggest mistake Tung committed ? The answer is his refusal to move into the government house just to show that he was different from the 'governors' before him. What he did not know was by doing that the best fung shui in HK was destroyed.

He is doing just Beijing want him to do as EXPECTED so why do people blame him?!?!?! Yeah from the Citizens' point of view he is useless and stupid - hey what do you expect???
