With all due respect I would have to believe that the level of violence is at least as bad in Israel and Afghanistan as it is in South Africa. That said the one thing that these countries have in common is violence and the K-9 world has determined that the method that is presently taught has been found to be the most useful and effective method for both the dog and the handler. Given the lives of their handlers are at real risk every day the best and most proven method has been employed. If what I am saying was not accurate, they wouldn't be teaching and using the one grip method.
