I sold a red fawn pup to a couple and when they came to pick her up they had a black male boerboel. Turns out she just moved here from South Africa Where her friend was a breeder. The dogs parents were both Fawns with no Blacks in the pedigree. They had a litter and all pups were fawn except the one male. My puppy buyer also stated that most of the original farmers bulldogs or Boerboels were in fact Black. Just my two cents but I thought I would share.
