We were changed forever on Sept 11 and we can never go back.Thats a sad fact. Our shock, horror and pain levels were all raised a bit that day .And I think the group most impacted by 9/11 are the baby boomers, because we were the most innocent of all generations. We were after WWII,and knew nothing about that horror,or the depression. We grew up in Leave it to Beaver worlds of nuclear families, everyone ( mostly) had a dad,mom (mostly)was a housewife, and everything (gee Wally) was peachy. The following generations produced one parent families and those kids lost their rose colored glasses early on.So I think us boomers as a group, are more dazed and numb than others.Personally,I havent' forgotten what happened on Sept 11,but I run into a number of people who do seem to have forgotten.
As for the pistaccios, you should come to my house, they are a regular part of the nut buffet I put outside for Rocco and company :) A neighbor said to me the other day " I couldn't believe it, I saw PISTACCIOS all around the trees ,they are expensive ! " What can I say ? (shrugs )
I hopelessly love that squirrel :)
