Subject: Boot rule

Hi all,
I would like to suggest a change to the boot rule. As it stands now, as I understand it, if a person gets booted, nobody goes set and opponent team gets to keep its meld. It also counts as a hand played unless it was a glich by Igames. The problem as I see it with this rule is if you see you are going to go set, say your bid was 75 and you realize there is no way you are going to make it, it is advantageous for one of the two players to boot themself, thereby eliminating going back the 75 points. I know. You are all going to say you don't think it happens in here. I am sorry but I have to disagree. Admittedly, I can't prove what I think but that is why I would like to see the rule changed. I feel if you have not saved your bid and there is a boot, bidder goes set. Most likely the feeling is why should the player have to suffer for Igames problems. Well I don't feel Igames boots that often. At other sites I have played at, the rule was you went set. At the descretion of the Host, if it is a particularly active night of boots by igames, Host can relax the rule. Anyway, it is just another way I feel we can control any cheating if there is any. I am sure cheaters will find another way if they want to win that bad, but at least we could eliminate this method. My gut says this will not be adopted. Too many nice people in this club which is what makes it such a good club. But the one or two cheaters will be happy. And I have no names so don't bother to ask.
