Subject: Lee's Life in Waterloo

Hi everyone,

Since more than one person asked, and since I'm incredibly vain and self-centered, I thought I'd start a new thread to answer the question, "How is life in Waterloo?"

So here goes: Life in Waterloo is busy but good. I've been working like a mad man for the last month because Intrexa just sold their first product to an actual company. Since I'm the only developer working on the middle-tier piece of the product, I've been trying to keep up with a constant barrage of new features, bugs, and fairly inept management (surprise!). I've worked a couple 20+ hour days. Hopefully no more of that in the future though.

Right now I'm waiting to find out if I'll be hired on as a full time contract employee for the next eight months. I figure I like this place enough, and I made it clear that I'd only come back if I was paid well and was doing new stuff. So we'll see!

Other than work I've been climbing when I can. I'm playing basketball at lunch with the guys from work and squash during the evenings, and golfing once a week, and playing guitar, and reading, and occasionally doing my dishes ;)

Last weekend I helped Sherri move into her apartment in Peterborough. We put some elbow grease into it and it's starting to look nice. I can't wait to see it again when everything is unpacked. Also, we made plans to go camping at Rock Lake in Algonquin the second weekend in September, so I'm really looking forward to that.

Living with Jon has been HELL!

Ha ha, just kidding. Although I'm enjoying his company, I'll probably be moving back to the house on McDougall at the beginning of July when my Sister and her roomates move out. It'll save my sister some money, and I'll get air-conditioning :)

Thats all the stuff I can think of right now!

Later,
Lee
