Our granddaughter in TN is into gardening in a BIG way. They have 17 acres (No, it's not all garden) and she's raising everything you've mentioned plus scallions, onions, red potatoes, okra and they have fruit trees, including blackberry so she's exploring making wine. :) She's canning in jars and saving most of the freezer space for meat.

A tip, Jeff. I stopped blanching green beans a long time ago. They're washed, allowed to drain and dry thoroughly, then put in freezer bags. There's no difference in taste or texture. Have you made the broccoli salad yet? It's become a famiily favorite. BTW, we've raised brussel sprouts, broccoli and cauliflower, too. Are you still making bread?
