Subject: children not saved in Noach's time

lately I have pondered this. When Israel left Egypt they were obliged to stay in the desert for 40 years until all the people above 20 or so were dead. So God declared these young ones innocent. God says also somewhere in the old Testament: the soul that sins, that one will be judged, not the soul of the righteous one. Therefore I think it is quite well possible that these little ones are not saved physically, but may well be in heaven.
