Pedro,

I'm thinking, from what you are saying, that you are hitting the woods with too much of a downward stroke. Personally, I like to sweep or pick the ball with my fairway woods, and I get sweet, solid hits every time. I feel like I'm hitting butter when I do this and the ball literally jumps off the clubface.
