Subject: This ‘sport’ is disgusting to the core!

We are getting ready for Nashville and I can already sense that our environment will never be the same again. Of course, it never was above board but we fooled ourselves thinking maybe it was just a bad day, unlucky or just not meant to be. Now we as parents realize, it didn’t matter how hard our dd worked. Didn’t matter how many hours she put in the studio and sacrificed to get the top spots. It was never going to happen. Thousand of dollars later and countless hours missed to spend time with family and friends.

We blamed our small unconnected school for not getting us the results. Transferred to the one getting result after result. Didn’t get much attention as ‘winner’ in same age group. In hindsight, we were blessed and protected by that small school. The teacher did not play into the games and pressures but instead valued ethics, morales and child protection over trophies and titles.
