Subject: Lowers on Today - Full Braces... Weird!!!

 My braces on the top went on 2 months ago and I've been used to them to the point I forget I have them. Today he put the lower braces on, it feels completely different and strange.

I didn't have much problem talking with just upper braces, but today I can't say certain words well with the lower braces on (not sure which sounds yet).

Another weird thing is when I open my mouth wide it feels like the braces are pulling back on my teeth! This makes no sense to me why opening and closing my jaw would cause different sensations on the tension of the braces. It feels like my jaw is a big metal hinge or something... opening my mouth feels mechanical. Hard to describe. Curious if this is similar to what others experience when you have full braces.

I was totally not expecting it to feel so much different after the lower braces went in... I figured it'd just feel a little different.

Strange... and I look in the mirror and it looks like a big mess all over again like the first day with just the upper ones. At least I know that'll pass after about a month :D
