Date Posted: 15:56:44 11/01/05 Tue In reply to: paul 's message, "Re: SNR programming director" on 17:57:16 10/31/05 Mon Paul you are ABSOLUTELY right! TECHNICALLY they don't have to post any updates to us but do REMEMBER that they are in the entertainment business and they are starting to piss off even their most loyal fans, and the last thing you want to do in any business is lose your loyal clientel!! We're not asking these guys to be regulars and give us a 'weekly update'. All we're asking (and again i think i'm talking for many of us here) is that they let us know if there is something going on etc... If one of them would have simply posted ONE message since last April (which is when they were saying it was just a matter of time before they got on!!) it would have been enough for me (and probably for most of the regulars here). But we got simply NOTHING!!! After all, they raised our hopes last spring when they pretty much said they were coming back and all we ever asked since then was one update from the letdown!!!!!! I'll repeat what i said earlier, technically you are right but when you totally ignore your loyal clientel in business you're running the chances of getting snakebitten!! >>As someone who was a faithful listener, I like you, >feel >like I am being thrown under the bus because of >no info >coming from either K or B. > >i like "kiley & booms" as much as anyone, but this is >a little extreme. > >the reason there's no "info" is because there's >nothing to report. while i'm sure kevin and chuck >appreciate your loyalty (and the support of all their >listeners), they don't owe you or me anything. the day >after chuck was fired, he went on any radio station >willing to give him time to explain his side of the >story. he didn't have to do that. he could have just >wallowed in self-pity at "casa de chucky" with dudley >and willoughby. but he recognized the value of the >audience and felt they deserved better. and through >deacon mike and others, i'd say chuck has more than >adequately kept "kiley & booms" fans up-to-date on >possible opportunities to get the show back on the air. > >as far as the sporting news radio situation, it's >clear snr wanted to sign them. the problem was the >company was in a catch-22 financially. plus, i still >maintain that they can't start a "new" show without >artie. > >if anybody has been "thrown under the bus", it's kiley >and booms.
