Well it's official! There will be an Elementary School on Leslie Road in Helotes (my dad's grandparent's property) that will be named Charles L. Kuentz Elementary. It's awesome to think of it. Thank you soo much for your recommendation for my dad!! If you know of anyone who submitted their thoughts/recommendation, would you please pass this news on.

Thanks again, and God's blessings to you and yours...

That is great, "Big Daddy" deserves it!
On a similar note, I watched the Battle of Flowers Parade today , I missed Marshall, but was totally impressed with the last band. Even before they got to the spot where the TV cameras were, you could hear this band... POWERFUL! Sounded like a 1000 piece band, belting out March Grandioso...it was none other than the Clark HS Band. I can't put into words the pride I felt for Chuck when the station put " Thomas Clark Cougar Band, Charles Kuentz, Director on the screen. And maybe I am a little biased on this, but of all the bands I did see there was only one other band that looked as sharp, marched in step, and sounded as big, and that was the Marine Corp band, professionals! Even the Jay band , who won 1st place 5A at the Battle of Bands the night before looked like the 1976 Charger band going up against the 76 Pride compared to Clark....The Tradition continues...

Congrats to your father , he was a great inspiration to me and its very nice to see him honored in this way. It would be nice to see some vintage Ram Band shows on youtube or any other video hosting sites. Any plans to dust off the VHS and post them?
