It felt like someone was bashing Rikku's head with a hammer... Where am I? she thought blearily. The only thing she could remember was walking away from the group to clear her thoughts, then... Ugh, it hurt to think. She lay back down, and realized that someone had already some soft furs under her. Rikku tried to sleep, but couldn't. The feeling that someone was watching her was overwhelming.
Glowing red eyes were staring at her. She gasped and a hand covered her mouth.
"I thought I'd need someone for bait," the demon hissed. "I didn't know that someone would fall right into my lap."
"What are you talking about?" Rikku groaned. Her head began to pound even harder.
The demon laughed softly. "Don't you even know who I am?"
Rikku just stared at him for a second before closing her eyes and resting on the furs beneath her head again. "No."
"You'll know soon enough..." The demon's grin grew wider. "Let's just wait until your friends come and get you. They'll know who you are."

"What are we going to do now?" Tidus asked no one in particular. He looked up at the stars twinkling in the sky and sighed. He thought that all hope was lost when Auron had gone, but Rikku had gotten them together and turned out to be a pretty darned good leader. But now, without her... what chance did they have?
"Maybe... maybe we should just stay put," Yuna suggested softly.
He just stared at her for a second. "What?"
Yuna shrugged self-conciously. She always felt tongue-tied when Tidus was looking at her. "We've been running around trying to find everyone else all this time, and what good has it done us? Shep, Kiana, Rikku... Who would be next? Lulu? Kimahri? You?" Yuna finally dared to look him in the eyes. "Maybe it's time that they came looking for us. Maybe it's time we stayed put."
Tidus shrugged. It wasn't a half-bad idea, actually. "Well, whatever we do, let's just stay the night then, all right? We'll decide what to do in the morning."
Tidus laid down to go to sleep, but his thoughts kept keeping him awake. He couldn't quite tell what he was thinking about, though; they slipped through before he could pin them down into words. He must have fallen asleep because the next thing he knew, Yuna was shaking him awake.
"Tidus! Get up!"
He sat up and rubbed his eyes. The bright sunlight hurt his eyes. "Whassa matter, Yuna?"
"Just come here! Hurry up!" She tugged at his arm.
"What is it?"
She grinned. "It's a surprise. Come on!"
"'Kay, fine, I'm coming..." Tidus yawned and stumbled sleepily after her...
