Subject: Hoorah for Mike and hoorah for lawn tennis.... tempus fugit (it all becomes clear except for the lawn tennis reference)

Great news to hear that a CD of rare/unreleased tracks will be produced. Be quite good to have an extensive notes booklet with the CD so MS can let us all know the story/history behind each track. Don't really mind what tracks are on there as I've noticed Mike has formed the habit of writing pretty fine pop songs!!!

I think Michael should dedicate the CD to Mr Peter Waterman, for as we all know without this great man, MS would be nowhere. PWs greatness as a musician is well known. I heard somewhere that he can knock out a tricksy Irish folk tune extremely well on the spoons when not pontificating his greatness through the media. Indeed, allegedly, whilst Pete was slaving away recording the sound of the 80s, Mike and Matt were playing darts in the Hole in the Wall, and only popped in to ask for a little more gate on the pop snare or for Pete to quantize the hi-hats. Away with me!!!

In the words of the oh so wise one... tempus fugit. Yours a chortling all the way to the turntable to flip the Princes album over to side two if only to hear the cash registers being played by Pete .... what a talent.

PS. why does PW feel the need to put tempus fugit in so many of his sentences. Whether it be a mix, or CD notes... oh the Latin scholar has taught me a thing or to.... I'm off to listen to some music... tempus fugit....

THE SERIOUS BIT. Personally I think that if Mike releases a CD of unreleased hits, he should dedicate it to Matt. These two guys have something pretty rare, and the stuff that they wrote/arranged/produced together provided a lot of happiniess and fun for a number of people. Without BOTH of them I don't think we would have this mass of great music, that we will listen to and remember for the rest of our lives.
