I too, dislike intellectuals who spout Latin at the drop of a hat. Catch me doing that!
Pete has always felt the need to bolster his under-developed sense of self regard with many a gesture of agrandiosement. Matt and Mike worked closely, if not intimately, for 20 years or more. There are not many other activities in life, which are more personal and intimate than the writing and composing of popular songs.Pete missed out on this closeness, and like all middle sibblings desperate for a cuddle from Mother, spent most of his energies attempting to draw attention to himself.Mike and Matt were always quite self-effacing,believing that such attention seeking displays were completely infra dignatum. OOps!
