Thank you all for your messages. of course i remember you Ben and Deidra! I treasure your friendship and the opportunity to dialogue with all of you about these crucial matters but i don't have enough time at the moment to respond in depth, so this is just a grateful acknowledgement of all your responses. Maybe "pointlessness" isn't so very bad after all.

Your responses have given me much to reflect upon, not least of all the demonstration that writing in with a concern will evoke a lot of feedback...which is very useful in itself (in case i needed to have a good point for writing)......***e***
