I keep forgetting this point!

Dreaminess is how I compensated for not having a strong self in the world. My soul compensated for this in dreaminess: a very vivid imagination that helped me feel connected to a very threatening world.

And so THIS is why I am so needing to articulate this labyrinthe of a question:

Is my momentary experience of perceptual fusion with phenomena an event in Consciousness, or is it perhaps my soul nature in its dreaminess imagining that I am remembering phenomena to an infinite degree?

It's not that I need to have the question answered: but asking the question - and in particular, articulating it exhuastively like this -

god it feels good.
