He glares as the wind picks up and the clouds slowly part. The fire is blown out. Still his face does not change, not even when hearing the fierce growling that comes from the darkness. A large, vicious sounding beast scrapes through the shadows MAN Calm yourself, go to the place The beast begins to growl louder, approaching the man slowly MAN Think of what makes you happy, what calms you – breathe in and (smiling) That’s better The man offers his hand into the shadows and helps a smiling Oz to his feet. OZ Cool. CUT TO. INT – THE ACADEMY – DAY ‘March 4th 2006’ Tara is leaving in a taxi cab as her cellular phone begins to ring TARA Hello? EXT – BOSTON COLLEGE – DAY ‘March 4th 2006’ Maria is stood at the curb holding a large card box MARIA Okay, here She drops the box into Asia’s arms and leaves her walking up the pavement MARIA So can we just do a checklist? He smiles to himself as he steps outside and locks up. From outside, he climbs a ladder and pulls a cloth from the edge of the roof, smiling as he reveals a large red printed sign “Parker’s Place” below, a small sign is painted “Garrison Parker Richards, November 1979 – September 2005” Starring Eliza Dushku and Michelle Trachtenberg Tom Lenk Lisa Roxanne Shawn Ashmore Vincent Karthieser as Connor Special Appearance by Amber Benson Guest Starring Seth Green, Drew Fuller, Lindsey Sloane as Maria INT – BOSTON COLLEGE HOUSING – DAY Asia and the two other girls (We’ll call them Felicia & Cherry) are all slopped around in their pyjamas as a very wet Dawn comes through the door ASIA Is it raining? DAWN No CHERRY You’re soaking wet DAWN I went swimming CHERRY In your clothes? DAWN I’m shy FELICIA Crazy DAWN I’m sorry, did I ask your opinion? Dawn storms past them and heads straight upstairs before slamming the door shut. ASIA/CHERRY/FELICIA Time of the month CUT TO. INT – DAWNS ROOM – DAY Dawn kicks her boots off across the room and scampers into the bathroom. She emerges seconds later, having replaced her wet clothes with a dressing gown. Dawn sits in front of her mirror combing her hair before getting annoyed and giving up. She grabs the phone from the side and paces by the window DAWN Faith, go to the forest and kill a big dog FAITH What? DAWN It just threw me in the river and stole some old ladies purse (beat) It ate her small dog FAITH Why are you calling me? DAWN I’m wet I had to get changed FAITH You’re meant to be at the airport twenty minutes ago DAWN Argh! Dawn slams the phone down and walks out of the door ASIA Where are you going? DAWN Airport ASIA You’re not dressed DAWN I don’t care CUT TO. EXT – FORESTS – NIGHT Faith is cautiously covering the grounds as she holds a crossbow close to her. FAITH Here Scooby, come to play (beat) If I get fleas I’m gonna kill her Faith is knocked face down to the ground as, from nowhere, one of the beasts comes charging out of a bush and crashes directly into her. Three others emerge almost immediately, but run off into the night after looking over to Faith and the beast. Faith flips up to her feet and kicks the wolf in the face at least a half dozen times before sending it flying into a tree. She lifts the crossbow to her eye’s level and it ready to shoot as it morphs into Oz. FAITH What the… OZ Faith FAITH (rolls eyes) Sunnydale kids (pause) You might wanna get some clothes on END OF PART ONE INT – FAITH’S APARTMENT – NIGHT Faith enters with a limping Oz, she slumps him down on the chair and heads into the bathroom. FAITH (O.S) So you’ve just spent the last two years hunting werewolves and training them to control themselves? OZ Pretty much FAITH (entering with bandages) Sounds peachy OZ Can be FAITH Here (wraps bandage over his arm) that do? OZ Nurse Faith. (pause) I take this to mean you stopped killing people? FAITH Seven years now OZ I’m so proud FAITH (laughs) Thanks Oz OZ So, anything interesting happened in the past few years? FAITH Willow’s gay you knew that right? Riley left and Buffy died but came back and started getting groiny with Spike but he died to save a bunch of potential slayers who were being killed by The First after Willow bought Buffy back then went crazy and started killing people after Tara got shot by some geek (takes a breath) Then, Sunnydale got swallowed because of Spike dying but he came back and moved to LA where Cordelia was in a coma for giving birth to the black, full grown daughter of Angels white, eighteen month slash year old son. (breathe) I dated a principal after I broke out of prison and I came here and died but Dawn, who by the way is now my sister and if you didn’t know – isn’t real, well she cried and bought me back to life then this little girl tried to kill us and Tara moved away after coming back from the dead and it’s been a crazy few years. You? OZ (long pause) Riley left? FAITH Very funny – I could go on OZ Please, don’t FAITH You know about Xander right? The eye thing? OZ Anya told me FAITH You see Anya a lot? OZ Not really, I was visiting Hepatic in Tibet and she had a job going there FAITH Sounds like Anya to me DAWN (O.S) Sorry, Faith has a spare… (pause) key OZ Hey Dawn Tara enters behind Dawn, she locks eyes on Oz as discomfort floods through the both of them FAITH Don’t worry Oz, she’s not dead anymore CUT TO. EXT – BOSTON TOWN – NIGHT Tara and Oz are walking slowly and silently along the street, the tension is unbearable TARA S-So OZ Yep TARA You here long? OZ Just passing through (beat) You? TARA Oh, um, just passing through OZ Nice TARA Oz… OZ Tara – you don’t have to be like this around me. TARA Really? OZ I don’t even want to hear how happy the two of you are, but I know it’s true. I can deal. I haven’t seen her for six years. TARA This is it OZ You’re not coming in? TARA For a little while OZ Cool. Tara gives an awkward smile as she leads Oz into Maria’s house INT – MARIA’S HOUSE – NIGHT TARA H-Hello? MARIA (O.S) Is that who I think it is? TARA Hey MARIA Hey? I haven’t seen my girl for six months and I get “hey”? (pause) Ooh (smiles) You bought me a present, albeit a small one, but a cute one TARA T-this is Oz MARIA Oh, my newest house guest OZ Hey MARIA $49 a night, bring your own sheets TARA She’s kidding OZ Nice MARIA Don’t talk too much sweetie I can barely keep up with you OZ (nods) Room? OZ Part time CONNOR Nice Connor grabs Oz’ bag and runs back up the stairs, Oz following behind MARIA Well that’s a conversation to enthral you Tara laughs before linking arms with Maria MARIA I think this calls for wine CUT TO. INT – DAWNS HOUSING – NIGHT Clock: 3am Dawn comes plodding down the stairs barely awake as she strolls through the kitchen and grabs a bottle of water from the fridge. She drops it in reaction to a screaming from upstairs. Immediately she sprints to the top where she finds Asia shaking in the corner of the room, glass shattered all around her. DAWN Asia what happened? ASIA A dog… DAWN Werewolf ASIA What? DAWN Nothing…where’s Cherry? ASIA It took her DAWN What? ASIA She’s gone CHERRY (O.S) No, I’m not… Cherry stands in the door way CHERRY I’m right here, what happened? CUT TO. INT – MARIA’S HOUSE – EARLY MORNING Maria strides down the stairs half asleep as she fastens her dressing gown MARIA I’m coming! Quit knocking DAWN Where’s Oz? Dawn shoves past Maria DAWN Oz?! MARIA Come in why don’t you? DAWN Is he upstairs? MARIA It’s six thirty go home DAWN Mind if I look? MARIA (giving up) Go ahead OZ What’s up?
