We beat Man City in 83 or 84 at home 3-2 with last minute goals from Robert Wilson and Ray Houghton
Houghton’s was a cracking strike from outside the box
Hammy End
Alex Williams in goal for Man City and was involved in a dust up a fulltime near the Cottage

  • The 3-3 Man City game from the 80s eluded to above is a big call but don't think the equaliser was in i njury time but stand to be corrected. Pretty sure the first aat Middlesbro was just about in nomal time but close. I was at both. (NT) -- Rupert, Saturday, November 09, 07:48:57am (NoHost/90.193.226.124)
  • Don't remember a 3-3 with City in the 80s, I remember the 3-2 when we scored two very late with Houghton getting the winner (NT) -- TSW, Saturday, November 09, 06:26:12pm (NoHost/31.94.34.229)
