Bringing in Anderson , Smith -Rowe and Berge although they cost getting on for £90 m and maybe £15m a year in wages . Yet they aren’t even necessarily first choice starters .
So could the club not afford to up the wages of Muniz from kids level to around the top levels paid at Fulham to get him to renew his contract for a couple more years at least . Even making him out highest paid player would have been the best thing we could have done to get him committed to being here at least to mid career . Why not ? Ask Ali
Instead we look likely to lose him for a pittance and be left looking for a far worse aging player instead . What’s the point of that ? Ask Teflon
