Subject: Indeed - Spurs, Brighton, Arsenal, Liverpool, Southampton, Chelsea, Bournemouth - if someone said we'd come through that lot unbeaten - in the midst of an injury crisis - they'd have sent you to the funny farm. Fabulous effort by the players and staff. As proud as I've ever been.

  • We are so nearly there, it's just having those goalscorers who could put teams away. We have shipped many late goals but it's mainly down to us failing to put those teams away earlier in the game and puts immense pressure on the defence. I think mainly of Utd/Ham/Everton/yesterday but we could easily have drawn at City also (NT) -- Waterboy, Monday, December 30, 10:13:49am (NoHost/84.65.35.84)
  • Re: goalscorers I have often felt similar but then the stats are actually ok - 9 goals in 19 games from Jimenez/Muniz, 5 each from Iwobi and Wilson make for healthy contributions from midfield. Others chip in. Double all that over a full season and it's decent. Perhaps it's more just the case the high intensity style means players are knackered and games tend to become very open at the end, leading to goals for one team or the other.
