Subject: Vision and execution in the second case were of the highest class and a reminder (starting to be needed, frankly) of what he was acquired for. I'd certainly favour testing your opinion by starting him in the TC/AP position, enforcing that degree of involvement and responsibility, and see if that is where the future lies. Conditions suit, as we're utterly safe, but won't be reaching Europe as things stand. So now's the time.

  • Absolutely - intelligent circulation of the ball led to both our goals - I sometimes wonder if people come on here, see the result and it was 'only Ipswich' - and start firing off abuse having not even watched the game.
